Philosophy

After graduation from Ohio State University Bob Polcar began his carrer in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. As an architect-in-training he learned design and problem solving skills under nationally known architect Don M. Hisaka and Associates. He moved to Arizona in 1984, working as a staff architect for several leading architectural firms eventually becoming the senior facility designer for SRP, a large local utility company. Eager to return to the private sector after 8 years of corporate life, he established RPA in downtown Scottsdale, Arizona in 1997. In 2011 a second office was opened in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Throughout his professional career, and continuing with the establishment of this firm, he has specialized in:

· Satisfied, repeat clients.

· Design solutions and image appropriate to the use, intent and budget.

· Well defined construction documents resulting in minimal construction conflicts and change orders.

· The broadest range of remodeling, alteration and expansion projects – from ADA compliance to computer facilities, from large space planning studies to airport tenant improvements.

Robert Polcar Architects was founded as an organization which strives to add value to every opportunity, no matter the owner or the project.
